Our Beginner wheel throwing classes will teach you the basics of centering, opening, pulling walls, trimming and surface decoration. Your pieces will be bisque fired, then we then teach you how to glaze and we will do the final glaze firing.
For Beginner 2 and Intermediate, classes build on your knowledge of the basics and cover things like sgraffito, throwing larger, making more complex shapes, and more!
6 week classes, 2.5 hours, 1 day a week, for 6 weeks, in a group of up to 8.
Includes hands-on instruction, use of community tools, clay, and 2 finished pieces* each. Keep additional pieces* for $10 each.

Handbuilding is a method of creating with clay in which you use your hands and a large flat piece (slab) of clay instead of a potter's wheel. You can create mugs, plates, vases, and more!

Includes 2 hours of hands-on instruction, use of community tools, clay, textures, underglazes, and 400 cubic inches of kiln space (approximately a shoe box). We will glaze with clear for you.
